Jika ingin save sebuah halaman website dihadapkan dengan 4 pilihan berikut :

Web Page, complete (*.htm,*.html)
Web Archive, single file (*.mht)
Web Page, HTML Only (*.htm,*.html)
Text File (*.txt)

bagi yg belum tahu hasil dan effect dari masing2 pilihan tersebut berikut penjelasannya :
Web Page, complete (*.htm,*.html)Setiap kita akan menyimpan halaman website, secara otomatis yang terpilih adalah pilihan ini. Format ini akan menyimpan halaman website menjadi sebuah file HTML dan sebuah folder berisi gambar-gambar yang ada dalam halaman website yang disimpan. Folder ini kadang berisi juga file CSS atau Java Script dari website tersebut.
Web Archive, single file (*.mht)Kalau kita merasa terganggu dengan folder-folder yang ikut muncul ketika kita menyimpan sebuah halaman website, kita bisa memilih format ini. Dengan format ini, kita masih bisa membuka halaman website yang kita simpan tanpa harus kehilangan gambar-gambar yang ada di dalamnya. File HTML dan gambar-gambar tersebut disimpan menjadi satu file yang disebut dengan file MHT atau Microsoft HTML Template. Memang nantinya file ini akan terlihat lebih besar ukuran filenya dibandingkan dengan file HTML yang biasanya karena file tersebut juga berisi gambar-gambar yang sebelumnya ada di folder tersendiri.
Web Page, HTML Only (*.htm,*.html)Kadang kita hanya butuh menyimpan teks dari sebuah halaman website. maka kita bisa memilih format ini. Seperti pilihan pertama, pilihan ini akan menyimpan halaman website menjadi sebuah file HTML yang dapat kita buka kembali dengan browser. Hanya saja, format ini tidak menyimpan gambar-gambar, CSS ataupun JavaScript yang mungkin ada dalam website tersebut.
Text File (*.txt)Pilihan ini akan menyimpan halaman website menjadi sebuah file teks biasa. Benar-benar hanya berisi teks tanpa layout dan biasanya lebih tidak beraturan dibandingkan pilihan sebelumnya. Karena file teks, maka file ini dapat dibuka dengan mudah menggunakan Notepad.

Cara Setting Pop 3 di Yahoo:

1. Mengubah setingan email menjadi Yahoo Asia

Login ke email yahoo anda melalui mail.yahoo.com.
Klik nama username Anda di kanan atas (disamping sign out). Jika muncul pilihan, kemudian klik Edit My Account. (1)
Akan muncul halaman untuk login kembali, isi dengan password Anda.
Klik Edit dibagian Member Information. (2)
Kemudian klik bagian Preferred Content: Yahoo US (klik Yahoo Us nya). (3)
Pilih: Yahoo Asia – Klik Finish.
Akan Ada halaman persetujuan klik I Accept.
Anda akan masuk kembali ke halaman Edit Account. Klik Finished di bagian atas kanan.

2. Mengaktifkan Pop3

Setelah melalui proses diatas Anda akan dibawa masuk ke halaman email. Halaman judul disebelah kiri atas akan menjadi Yahoo Asia.
Klik Options di kanan atas. Jika ada pilihan pilih Mail Options.(4)
Klik Pop3 And Forwarding.
Klik link Setup or edit pop3 & forwarding.
Akan terbuka jendela baru. Centang Web & POP Access. Anda bisa juga memilih fitur forwarding/penerusan. Tapi hanya bisa memilih salah satu saja, pop3 atau penerusan.
Save.

3. Setingan Pop3 di Email Klien

Selesai sudah setingan di Website Anda. Untuk berkirim email Anda dapat menggunakan setting pop3 sebagai berikut:

Incoming server: pop.mail.yahoo.co.id
Incoming Port :110
Outgoing Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.co.id
Outgoung Port: 25
Username tulis dengan lengkap misalnya: contoh@yahoo.com
Password: Masukkan password Anda.

Tanya : Kenapa tiba tiba printer anda tidak bisa digunakan dan Led Lampu printer berkedip kedip merah?
Jawab : Toner mau habis / tidak terdeteksi (Toner Invalid), sehingga lampu led merah terus - menerus (katanya :p) , mau ganti catridge mahal banget makanya pakai solusi cepat praktis cuman efek buat printer kurang dapat di pertanggunjawabkan :D (selama ini sih fine2 ajah)

Connect a drive from My Network Places

1. Click Start, click My Network Places, click Entire Network, and then double-click Microsoft Windows Network.

3. Double-click the computer that has the shared resource you want to map. All the shared resources for that computer automatically appear in the window.
4. Right-click the shared drive or folder that you want to map, and then click Map Network Drive.
5. Click the drive letter that you want to use, and then specify whether you want to reconnect every time that you log on to your computer.

Note Network drives are mapped by using letters starting from the letter Z. This is the default drive letter for the first mapped drive you create. However, you can select another letter if you want to use a letter other than Z.
6. Click Finish.

A windows opens that displays the contents of the resource you mapped.

Lupa password administrator di windows 7 ?
pagi2 begitu nyampai meja nyalain PC bigboss lupa password laptopnya padahal butuh banget pagi itu data2nya , panik ? tentu saja lah namanya juga kuli yang selalu di bawah tekanan huehuehue , setelah browsing sebentar ada yg kasi saran yg ga ribet2 amat cuman butuh CD buat burn ISO dan modal koneksi internet yang lumayan kenceng buat download ditambah sedikit semangat buat ngelakuinnya ^_^

Untuk langkah2nya bisa ikuti dibawah ini, moga ga bingung yah maklum masih nyubi yg buat tulisan :
1. Yang perlu diperhatikan jangan ampe lupa user yang ingin anda reset misal kek gambar disamping usernya yg ingin direset kinderN (ini coba2 pake pc gw ndiri ga mungkin khan printsreen pc boss ^^)
2. Download ISO trinity rescue disk di trinityhome.org

- link download 3
- link spesial IIX
3. Burn ISO yg ud di download pada sebuah CD lalu digunakan sebagai bootable cd
4. Tampilan menu awal Trinity Rescue Kit 3.4 pilih default saja (enter)
5. Pilih " Go to a Shell " enter ketika tampilan seperti berikut :

6. ketikkan saja : winpass -u ~~xxx~~
- ~~xxx~~ adalah user yg kita reset reset tadi jadi kita ketikkan winpass -u kinderN
7. Akan muncul list informasi user yang eksis , untuk selanjutnya pilih angka 1 enter -> 1 enter sampai keluar info bahwa password sudah berhasil di reset dan untuk mengembalikan bisa menggunakan winpass --restore
8. restart dan booting menggunakan windows 7 anda
9. Semoga berhasil yahhh

Hard Drive: File record segment XXX is unreadable

File record segment is unreadable

Gejala : awalnya pas starting windows mengalami BSOD trus otomatis restart begitu mulai starting windows BSOD trus restart lagi (muter aje ampe puyeng)

Action : coba dijadiin slave hardisk tersebut pada pc lain yang dalam kondisi prima :) terus otomatis ketika detect hardisk yg "muter2" tadi melakukan scandisk trus muncul "File record segment XXX is unreadable" ampe ga karuan banyaknya (di tinggal ngupi2 sambil ngerokok dulu) ketika balik ke meja sudah kelar masuk windows tapi hardisk slave jadi tidak di temukan :gabrukzz:

coba matiin lagih pcnya ganti kabel power hardisk sama kabel data hardisk trus masuk ke setup bios coba dilihat disitu ternyata ke detect (uhuyyy...) F10 restart lagi masuk windows diminta chkdsk lagi,.. (ditinggal lagi ngupi + rokok) balik2 udah masuk windows,.. :D

Result : segera backup semuaaaaa dataaaaaaaaaaaaa....... (hardisk siapa yah yg bisa ditumpangi file backup ini sementara zZzZZzZZzz....)

Ternyata nama kerennya virus ini setelah browsing2 "windows generic host win32"

gejalanya yg gw rasain seh
tiba2 broadcast kirim email ke berbagai orang begitu connect internet :(
muncul popup browser
menambahkan file random_angka.exe (misal : 541446.exe)
process komputer jadi lambat

antisipasi (tapi gagal)
- matikan system restore ( yg pertama kali musti di lakuin )
- di hilangkan di startup lewat msconfig begitu direstart tidak mau hilang
- begitu juga sudah dicoba di delete di register lewat regedit tapi sia sia
- lewat gpedit.msc -> user configuration -> administrative templates - > system -> dobel klik pada "don't run speccified windows application" -> muncul popup windows task -> pilih enabled -> klik show -> add cfdrive32.exe dan msvmiode.exe ----> masih tetep jalan lagi begitu di restart

di taskmanager terdapat :
msvmiode.exe
cfdrive32.exe
........exe

akhirnya setelah searching beberapa jam nemuin "regrun reanimator" software ini bisa check boot and startup yg mo di load apa saja filenya
begitu di scan maka akan muncul beberapa supiciuos file untuk di ambil tindakan mau di delete , di biarkan atau di recovery
walaupun tadi udah di delete sampai registry2 lewat regedit masih balik lagi tapi setelah di delete dengan software ini setelah reboot msviode.exe dan cfdrive.exe nya ga balik lagi

How to increase Virtual Memory?

What is Virtual Memory?

Virtual memory is simulated RAM. When you have used up all your RAM, your computer will shift data to an empty space on the hard drive. The computer swaps data to the hard disk and back to your RAM as needed. When you increase your virtual memory you are increasing the empty space that is reserved for your RAM overflow.

Also having enough available space is absolutely necessary for your virtual memory and RAM to function properly.

How to increase Virtual Memory?
1.Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2.Click Performance and Maintenance, and then click System.
3.On the Advanced tab, under Performance, click Settings.
4.On the Advanced tab, under Virtual memory, click Change.
5.Under Drive [Volume Label], click the drive that contains the paging file that you want to change.
6.Under Paging file size for selected drive, click to Custom size check box. You can enter the amount of memory you would like to reserve for Virtual memory by entering the initial and maximum size.
7.Click Set
When you are prompted to restart the computer, click Yes.
Special Note: You should choose the same amount for the initial size and maximum size. This will Stop your CPU from constantly changing the paging file.

HOT TIP:
To stop your CPU from constantly changing the paging file, set the initial and maximum size to the same value. For example, 500 and 500. The value should be at least 1.5 times more than your physical RAM. If your computer has 512MB of RAM increase the virtual memory paging file to 1.5*512= 768

Remember to choose the drive you would like to use to increase the virtual memory. In most cases it usually your C: Drive. You can set the initial size and maximum size after clicking the Custom size check box.Remember its better to keep the Virtual memory values the same.

Dengan technologi sekarang ini kita semakin di manjakan oleh berbagai kemudahan, mungkin udah banyak yg tahu tentang OCR.
Optical character recognition (OCR) adalah sebuah sistem konversi hasil scan document print atau file gambar tulisan tangan dengan format teks yang dapat dibaca.
perangkat lunak OCR bekerja dengan menganalisis dokumen dan membandingkannya dengan font yang disimpan dalam database dan atau dengan mencatat fitur khas untuk karakter. Beberapa Software OCR juga menggunakan "spell checker" untuk "menebak" kata-kata tidak dikenal. Akurasi 100% memang sulit dicapai, tapi kemungkinan untuk pengembangan kedepannya tingkat akurasi semakin mendekati 100%
sebagai pengguna kita juga mengharapkan bukan ? apalagi freeware :p

To make your choice, you need to consider several factors about your e-mail usage, such as how long you want the messages to be accessible from multiple computers and the storage limits imposed by your e-mail server administrator. If you exceed your storage limit, you might be unable to receive new messages or might be charged additional fees. Typically, it is best to have one computer set to the default setting that doesn't leave e-mail messages on the e-mail server. When you use the computer to retrieve your e-mail messages, they are downloaded and deleted from the e-mail server. If you choose not to do this, Outlook allows you to select a time duration for leaving e-mail messages on the server.

1. On the Tools menu, click E-mail Accounts.
2. Click View or change existing e-mail accounts, and then click Next.
3. Select your ISP account, and then click Change.
4. Click More Settings.
5. Click the Advanced tab, and under Delivery, select the Leave a copy of messages on the server check box.
6. Select one of the following options:
* Remove from server after x days E-mail messages are downloaded to your computer but remain on the e-mail server for the number of days that you specify. This is the most common setting for people who want to read their messages at work but also download them for permanent storage on their home computer. We recommend that you choose the smallest number of days that suits your needs. The longer you leave messages on your e-mail server, the greater the risk of exceeding your mailbox size quota.
* Remove from server when deleted from 'Deleted Items' E-mail messages are downloaded to your computer but also remain on the e-mail server indefinitely until you delete the e-mail message in Outlook and empty the Deleted Items folder. Just deleting the message doesn't remove the message from the e-mail server.

If you do not select either check box, messages are left on the server indefinitely. You can eventually exceed your mailbox quota, unless you connect to the e-mail server from another computer that has Outlook configured to remove messages from the e-mail server.
7. Click OK, and then click Finish.

Outlook Express
POP3 servers by default store e-mail on the server only until you download them into your mail client. As soon as a message is downloaded, the client tells the server the message has been received and the server copy should be deleted. Outlook Express follows this default behavior, but also gives you the option to "leave a copy of messages on server".
Tip

Tip: If you wish to keep a copy of messages on your POP3 mail server, you can do so by accessing the account's Advanced Properties page:
1.On the Outlook Express Tools menu, click Accounts.

2.Click the Mail tab, and then double-click your e-mail account.

3.Click the Advanced tab.

4.Check the box labeled "Leave a copy of messages on server." Doing this activates two clean-up options:
•If desired, check the box to "Remove from server after 5 days." You may change this to any number between 1 and 100.
•If desired, check the box to "Remove from server when deleted from ‘Deleted Items.'"

Be careful using this option! Most ISPs limit the size of your POP3 mailbox. Saving messages on the server can cause your mailbox to become full very quickly, and so you might not receive important messages until you delete the server copies.

* Highlight and copy all files.
* Open the desired new profile directory.
o Make sure you choose the folder noted when you created your restoration profile. The folder name should end in ".Restoration Profile" if you created a specific profile or ".default" if you want to overwrite your current default profile.
* Highlight all files and move them to the trash.
* Paste the files copied from your backup location.

If you created a special "Restoration Profile" profile, you can rename it, of course.

You want to remove the unwanted icon, but how?

The solution to this problem is actually quite simple. Remember that the Windows Mobile and older Pocket PC operating systems are compact versions of the Windows OS that runs on your desktop or laptop. The process for removing unwanted icons on a Windows Mobile Pocket PC or Smartphone is very similar to the process on your Windows PC.

This document describes how to manually uninstall Symantec AntiVirus 10.2 client

Solution:
This procedure involves the following five steps:

* Disable Tamper Protection.
* Close or stop Symantec AntiVirus programs.
* Stop Symantec AntiVirus services.
* Remove Symantec AntiVirus from the registry.
* Remove Symantec AntiVirus from the Start menu and from the hard drive.
* DONE you have been Remove Symantec AntiVirus !!

Make sure that Symantec AntiVirus is not running before you start this procedure.

Disable Tamper Protection
You must disable Tamper Protection before you stop Symantec AntiVirus services.

To disable Tamper Protection

1. Start Symantec AntiVirus.
2. On the Configure menu, click Tamper Protection.
3. Uncheck Enable Tamper Protection.
4. Click OK.
5. Click Exit.

Note: You must have administrator permissions in order to terminate processes and stop services.
